The gastronomy of this region has a rich variety. The autochthonous people always recommend the typical "cassola de tros", the "escuddella barrejada", "el civet d'Isard", the black morcilla (Catalan sausage), the wild boar stew, kidney beans with morcilla or river trout.
The famous cheese of tupí is a delightful experience for visitors, who frequently end up buying a good piece of it to remember the taste of their stay at Castell de Mur, when they are back at home. Also the mushrooms, the "girilla", the "palpís", the "Solís" or the "secallona" are typical dishes of the zone. All these foods can, or even 'must', be accompanied with the wine with Protected Designation of Origin "Costers del Segre".
